TUNIQUE DE TROMPETTE DE CARABINIER DE LA GARDE IMPÉRIALE, Second Empire (1865-1871).

Tunique en drap garance. Collet, passepoils, pattes de parements et doublure de jupe en drap bleu de ciel. Neuf boutonnières sont en galon cul-de-dé en fil blanc (largeur apparente de la boutonnière en galon redoublé : 40 mm). Boutons en étain estampé de l'aigle impériale avec la devise "GARDE IMPÉRIALE".

Tunique doublée de toile écrue marquée à l'encre H.S, cachet du régiment des Carabiniers avec la couronne impériale, matriculée 1164, datée du 1er trimestre 1867.

Épaulettes en laine blanche, doublure bleu de ciel.

Bon état.

Cette tunique a appartenue à Charles KUPFER (elle est datée du 1er trimestre 1867 n° 1164), né le 2 janvier 1843 à Kienzheim (ou Kientzheim ?) dans le Bas Rhin. Musicien engagé volontaire du régiment étranger le 141 mars 1863, puis au 33e de ligne le 27 mai 1865, il est incorporé aux Carabiniers de la Garde Impériale le 1er avril 1866 comme artiste civil. Engagement résilié le 10 mai 1867 en exécution de la circulaire du 12 avril suite à la suppression des musiques dans la cavalerie. Retiré à Strasbourg. Il a fait les campagnes d'Afrique (1863), du Mexique (de janvier 1864 à mars 1865).
