FIREFIGHTER TROOP HELMET FROM THE COMMUNE OF SAINT OUEN, type 1885, Third Republic. 24530
Helmet entirely made of brass. Crest with prominent mouldings, decorated at the front with a grenade with four small ventilation holes, secured by means of eight screws. Front plate in embossed brass featuring a shield with a bonfire, topped by a city crown and framed by oak and laurel branches, ribbon bearing the inscription "SAPEURS POMPIERS DE St OUEN". Neck guard stamped "Sté Cie de FOURNITURES MILITAIRES PARIS". Square-section plume holder. Brown leather chinstrap.

Very good condition, small dents on the dome, missing the inner lining.
