FIREFIGHTERS' HELMET FROM THE VILLAGE OF VEXAINCOURT, 1895 type, Third Republic. 24517

Helmet entirely made of brass. Crest with raised mouldings decorated at the front with a grenade, fixed with an internal screw. Front plate in stamped brass depicting a shield with a burning pyre topped with a city crown surrounded by an oak and laurel branch, and topped with a ribbon bearing the inscription "FIREFIGHTERS OF VEXAINCOURT." Tube-shaped plume holder with a slightly decreasing square section towards the bottom.
