Lion head hilt, three-branch guard, short-tailed pommel. Handle made of wood covered in black waxed calfskin with brass filigree. Curved blade with hollow facets, signed on the back "Mre d'armes de Châttl mai 1879 = Cavrie Lére mle 1822", length 85.4 cm. Natural leather knot.

In fair condition, some missing filigree, oxidized blade, blunt tip, missing scabbard.
