Barrel with five long sides at the thunder, eight including three short at the mouth, it is very reinforced at the mouth and slightly blunderbussed, hallmarked “R4” under Phrygian cap in an oval (mark of the inspector of the 4th division). Line of sight consisting of two lines, one at the thunder, the other at the mouth, striped (seven large stripes). Caliber 14 mm. Length 64.6 cm.
Flintlock marked in cursive letters “Mafre de Versailles” (inscription of year III and year IV), length 13.5 cm, hallmarked “R4” under Phrygian cap in an oval (mark of the inspector of the 4th division). Swan neck dog. Brass bassinet with fire guard.
Walnut frame with long barrel, cheek rest on the stock.
Brass fittings with the exception of the top leaf which is iron. One-piece underguard and trigger guard, independent iron escutcheon, curved butt plate, two eared rosettes forming screw holders. Three baguette holders molded in relief and fixed with pins.
Wand with a strong head in the shape of a very elongated pear, pierced for the ball puller.
Total length 102.5 mm.
