Hat body in dark blue cloth with piping in daffodil wool cords. These pipings come together on the right side to form a point whose apex reaches the bottom of the hat. Two elliptical-shaped side flaps in dark blue cloth bordered on their convex development with a daffodil wool braid (width 3 cm).
On the front, in the curvilinear angle drawn by the recess of the two flaps, a bright pomegranate is sewn into a hunting horn embroidered in daffodil wool threads (H 4.3 cm, width 3.8 cm).
At the front corner of the peak of the cap, a pompom with a scarlet tassel and daffodil fringe is attached, indicating the second regiment, according to the regulations of April 16, 1859.
Inner cap entirely in black waxed sheepskin.
