Canon registered “F 24532”, hallmarked “P G” and two hallmarks “D” and “B” in circles, “M I”, dated “S 1870”. Barrel length 67.5 cm. Breech box marked “Manufacture Impériale de St Etienne Mle 1866”, it carries on its lower part the trigger and the spring to which the trigger is linked. Mobile breech registered similarly to the barrel, composed of an operating part, forged with the operating lever, a sliding hammer whose cylinder is slightly concave and slightly refined. Steel rod. Walnut frame with long barrel registered “F 24532”, receipt stamp from the Manufacture de St Etienne 1870. Brass fittings. Butt plate stamped “6CR” (6th remount company).
