Entièrement en laiton, cimier estampé de 11 godrons, plaque frontale estampée en relief d'un blason à grenade enflammée posée sur deux haches encadrées d'une branche de chêne et une branche de laurier et d'un ruban portant l'inscription « SAPEURS POMPIERS D'ORMESSON », le tout sur fond rayonnant. Visière et couvre-nuque cerclés d'un jonc en laiton plié à cheval sur la bordure extérieure. Jugulaires composées d'une mentonnière en cuir souple gainé de basane cirée noir recouverte d'une suite d'écailles décroissantes découpées alternativement en deux et trois festons. Rosaces rondes à moulures saillantes. Porte-plumet de forme tubulaire à section carrée décroissant vers le bas.

Bon état, manque l'une des deux rosaces, doublure intérieure de la visière et du couvre-nuque manquante, coiffe intérieure manquante.
