En fer étamé, recouvert de vernis noir, constitué d’une calotte demi-sphérique et d’un bandeau droit. Visière et couvre-nuque rivetés. Plaque frontale en laiton estampé d'une bombe enflammée surmontant deux haches croisées liées entre elles par un ruban, le tout encadré par une banderole portant l'inscription « Srs POMPIERS DE St YMIER ». Jugulaires composées de mentonnières en laiton estampé écailles, et chacune d'une rosace indépendante de forme ronde frappée en relief de godrons, fixées à la bombe par des pattes en laiton. Coiffe intérieure en cuir brun, surmonté d'une coiffe en toile.
