BELT BUCKLE OF A SENIOR OFFICER OF THE SPAHIS, Second Empire. 23846

Gilded brass buckle with a sanded background. Molded framing strip around the buckle decorated with rocaille-style molding. The center is adorned with a stamped and cut silver plaque in the shape of a radiant sun, with a five-pointed star above a brass-stamped crescent, these three central parts are attached to the buckle. Complete with its hook and loop on the back.
Height 5.7 cm, width 7.7 cm.
