Récit bien documenté de la bataille de Hastembekque qui s'est déroulée le 26 juillet 1752. Les feuillets ne sont pas signés, ils ont été rédigés le 28 juillet 1752.
« notre armée commandée par Mr le Maréchal d'Etrée étoit en face d'Hamelen, ayant devant de la cavalerie ennemie et une partie de l'infanterie qui appuyoit sur leurs gauche dont les restes occupoit des montagnes que nous avions a notre droite, garnies de bois fort épais et for larges, a chacune des trois montagnes en file les unes des autres. Les ennemis avoient au haut et au bas des batteries de canons soutenues toutes les unes par les autres, et en plus par dis milles hommes au moins. Ils avoient à leurs droite leWeser et Amelene derrière eux et par leurs gauche une assez grande gorge qui precedoit les montagnes. La situation de notre armée étoit sur un plateau avec espèce de montagne dont le sommet fort large s'étendoit et descendoit imperceptiblement sur la gauche dans la plaine (...) ».
