Tunique en drap bleu foncé passepoilé jonquille fermant droit au moyen d'une rangées de neuf boutons en laiton demi-sphériques estampé du chiffre « 42 ». Collet jonquille passepoilé bleu foncé. Passants d'épaulettes bleu foncé. Parements coupés droits, drap bleu foncé passepoilé jonquille, pattes de parements jonquille passepoilées bleu foncé à trois boutons d'uniforme petit module. Pattes de ceinture et fausses poches en drap bleu foncé passepoilé jonquille. Insignes de retroussis découpés en forme d'étoile en drap jonquille (non d'origine). Doublure intérieure en toile beige portant l'affectations du 42e régiments d'infanterie, matriculée à plusieurs reprises « 9431 » « 502 » avec cachet datant du 1er trimestre 1864.

Paire d'épaulettes en laine verte, avec tournantes en laine écarlate, franges souples en laine verte, doublure en drap bleu foncé l'une avec manque au drap et sans son étiquette en toile, la seconde avec étiquette marquée du 42e de ligne 1er trimestre 1864.

Très bon état, quelques usures et petites réparations d'usage.
