The Imperial Guard, this glorious phalanx, the result of all the attentions of Emperor Napoleon I, is a kind of small army within the "Grand Army"... This study of its organization, as well as its uniforms and equipment, is taken to its highest level here.
This third volume - a compilation of the two dossiers published in the fifth and sixth issues of the magazine SOLDAT - is the new version, completely redesigned, revised, amended, and significantly expanded - more than fifty percent of new characters appear - of the book published several years ago by the authors.
This volume covers the final mounted units of the Guard, the formations in the wake, the horse artillery, the artillery and supply trains, the health service, the Guard headquarters, as well as the Emperor's Household, the Emperor, and the first uniforms of the Royal Guard.
