Monture en bronze doré. Garde à une branche. Clavier bi-valve avec partie arrière se repliant (à partir de 1818), le clavier avant est richement décoré d'un ornement en bronze doré, rapporté et riveté, représentant le casque empanaché et glaive des aides de camp sur fond de faisceau de drapeaux avec branche de chêne et branche de laurier. Deux étoiles en argent sont rivetées de part et d'autre du casque. Calotte décorée du foudre d'état-major avec partie supérieure légèrement déboîtée. Poignée en corne, filigrane manquant. Lame blanche signée « Coulaux » de 77,5 cm. Cravate en drap écarlate. Fourreau en cuir noir verni avec chape en laiton doré, bouterolle manquante.

Bon état, les parties en laiton ont conservé tout leur dorure, la lame a des parties oxydées, le fourreau est écaillé, frotté et la couture arrière en mauvais état.

La dénomination de maréchal de camp est de nouveau utilisée à la place de « général de brigade » sous la Restauration et la Monarchie de Juillet et disparaît définitivement en 1848
