Médaille de forme ronde en argent, diamètre 30 mm, signée côté avers « Georges LEMAIRE » représentant l’effigie de la République casquée et couronnée, entourée de la légende « RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE ». Au revers, inscription « MAROC » surmontant un canon et une ancre de marine, faisceau de drapeaux portant les inscriptions « HONNEUR ET PATRIE – CASABLANCA – HAUT-GUIR – OUJDA ».
Bélière uniface faite de deux branches de feuilles de laurier et d’un croissant.
Ruban vert clair, à troies raies verticales blanches.
Agrafes en argent de style oriental portant l’inscription « MAROC » décerné pour les opérations postérieures à 1912.

La Médaille commémorative du Maroc a été créée par la loi du 22 juillet 1909, en vue de récompenser les troupes qui, aux ordres du futur maréchal Louis Lyautey, furent engagées dans les opérations de pacification effectuées de 1907 au 20 juillet 1912, date de la promulgation du traité de protectorat du Maroc.
