Bombe en cuir verni noirci, repercée pour la fixation de la plaque. Jonc de cerclage de visière et toutes garnitures en laiton.
Plaque de l'état représentant une aigle couronnée éployée avec banderole « MIT GOTT FÜR KOENIG UND VATERLAND » et en son sein monogramme « FR » pour Frederick Rex, retenant en ses serres le sceptre et le globe symbole du pouvoir. Jugulaire en cuir et cocardes aux couleurs nationales noir-blanc-rouge et aux couleurs de la Prusse noir-blanc-noir.

Bombe coiffée d'une boule fixe, fixée sur une base ronde rivetée par quatre rivets demi-sphériques.

Intérieur de coiffe en cuir noirci à huit dents de loup. Dans le fond de la bombe, reste d’étiquette au nom du « canonnier Hahlbach du FAR.70 ».
Au niveau du couvre-nuque, date et affectation « 1894 – F.A.R.70 ».

Le 4. Lothringisches Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 70 fut en garnison à Metz (I. Abtl.), et à Saarlouis (II.Abt./vorl. Bitsch-Truppenübungplatz)
