La vareuse-dolman modèle 1891 portée initialement par les chasseurs alpins, fut distribuée en 1915-1916 aux cyclistes d’infanterie et de cavalerie.

En drap épais bleu de ciel, col large rabattu dit demi-chevalière, fermant droit au moyen de cinq boutons métalliques demi-sphériques peints (remontés postérieurement). Exemplaire sans revers de manche. Patte porte-baïonnette en drap doublée de cuir au niveau de l’aisselle gauche. Sans bourrelet comme de règle à partir de mai 1916.
Pattes de collet triangulaires en drap du fond, chiffres découpées à l’emporte-pièce, soutaches bleu foncé, remontées postérieurement.
Doublure en toile de lin écrue, tampons peu visibles.
Fourragère aux couleurs de la médaille militaire.
