En drap gris de fer bleuté, insolé, plusieurs trous de mite et réparations comme illustré sur les photographies, croisant sur le devant à l’aide de deux rangées de boutons, ici manquants, quelques boutons du modèle propre à la gendarmerie présents. Boutonnière à chaque extrémité des pans de la capote permettant de les relever lors des marches. Au niveau des hanches, ouvertures verticales. Dans le dos, martingale réglable. Sur le côté gauche, patte en drap permettant de fixer le porte-baïonnette et de soutenir le ceinturon. Collet droit, à coins arrondis. Pattes de col en drap cramoisi découpé en accolades, manque sur la patte gauche.
Doublure en toile de coton bleue.
