Sur les 100 Régiments de Feldartillerie, 2 seulement ont porté cette plaque de Hessoise. (Dans le gradiant de rareté du "Répertoire" de D. LAINÉ, cette coiffure est considéré comme " rare").

Bombe en cuir verni, jonc de cerclage de visière et toutes garnitures métalliques en laiton doré, plaque de l'état représentant le lion de Hesse couronné, dressé et brandissant un glaive, entouré de feuillage, du laurier à gauche et de feuilles de chêne sur la droite.

Cocarde de type pour officiers aux couleurs de l'état de la Hesse rubannée blanche à deux cercles intérieurs rouges. Cocarde aux couleurs nationales manquantes.
Jugulaires en cuir brun recouvertes d'écailles festonnées alternant deux et trois festons en laiton.
Bombe coiffée d'une boule, base perlée, fixée sur une base en forme de croix pattée rivetée par quatre rivets demi-sphérique.
Intérieur de coiffe en cuir noirci à quinze dents.

Très bon état de conservation.
