OFFICER'S SWORD OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF PENITENTIARY ESTABLISHMENTS, model 1872, Third Republic. 29612
Gilded brass hilt. Single-branch guard. Keyboard decorated with two keys in saltire over a sword, as per the text of April 12, 1892 confirmed on October 29, 1905. Folding counter-guard. Round-shaped pommel. Handle entirely filigreed with golden and silver brass threads. Gilded brass ferrules. Natural buffalo leather knot. Straight blade with a central ridge marked by the swordsmith at the heel. Polished steel scabbard with a single suspender ring, and a dart cut out in the shape of a lyre.
