OFFICER'S BANDOLIER OF THE GUIDES OF THE IMPERIAL GUARD, second model 1857, SECOND EMPIRE.
Bandolier made of leather covered with dark green velvet and topped with a wide silver braid (53 mm) piped in dark green. Silver-plated brass trimmings with an Eagle on a radiant background and an imperial crown, silver-plated brass fixing studs on the case.
Case of the first model 1853, in wood covered with black waxed Moroccan leather lined with dark green velvet, sides in gilded brass, gold-plated strap plate framed with a molding in gilded brass stamped with a series of laurel leaves, the center decorated with an N under a crown in gilded brass on a background of a radiant sun in silver-plated brass.
Dimensions of the case 84 mm x 169 mm.
Very good condition.
NOTE:
On this specimen, the first model case with gilded wand has been preserved, but the bandolier has been replaced by that of the second model with silver-plated trimmings.
