Carved walnut stock with various moldings and acanthus leaf motifs. The ornament behind the breech blossoms into a fleur-de-lis. The end of the barrel is reinforced with a piece of horn. All fittings are of chiseled brass, formerly gilded, including a wide fleur-de-lis appearing on each side of the pommel; the trigger guard is engraved with a bust of Diana the Huntress. Octagonal barrel, brass rib and sight, molded towards the breech and finely inlaid with silver depicting a pointing dog. The underside of the barrel bears two unidentified capital letter stamps: "FG" and "HI." Lock plate engraved with hunting motifs and ornamental moldings.
Original ramrod missing its worm, made of whalebone with a horn tip.
Total length: 50 cm; barrel length: 32 cm; caliber: 15 mm.
