OFFICER'S HUSSAR FLINTLOCK PISTOL. Ancient Monarchy, first quarter of the 18th century, reigns of Louis XIV - Louis XV. 34606
Carved walnut stock with embellishments in coppered brass, adorned and formerly gilded: buttoned cap, trigger guard, ramrod pipes, side plate, and thumb rest decorated and engraved. Round steel lockplate engraved with vegetal motifs, inscribed in small capitals with "HUSSAR" towards the tip, then with "A.BEAVMESNIL" (unidentified). Hammer and battery adorned with relief motifs. Square-tailed barrel with flats on 10 cm, brass front sight 6 cm from the muzzle.
Total length: 53 cm; barrel length: 36.3 cm; caliber: 15 mm.

Very good condition, typical oxidation, non-original ramrod, 3.3 cm repair underneath the muzzle, and minor old repairs on the stock and near the cap.
