Nagaika "нага́йка" (short and thick whip) silver niello-decorated riding crop-dagger embellished with floral engravings, finished with braided leather whip. Opening with button, inside double-edged blade and grooves (L 23.5 cm), wooden scales.
Length (excluding whip): 43cm.

The nagaika (or nagajka in Russian) is a short leather whip traditionally used by the Cossacks of Russia. Originally, it was mainly used to direct and stimulate the horse during horseback travel. It is borrowed from the Nogais, hence the name "nogaïe" (riding crop).
