FULL CEREMONIAL UNIFORM OF A REGULAR ENGINEER OF THE PONTS ET CHAUSSÉES, Second Empire. 32330

BICORNE HAT in black felt with black plumets, tricolor cockade of 8 cm in diameter, black velvet galloon of 5 cm embroidered with laurel leaves in gold threads, cannetilles, and sequins. Small gilt brass uniform button with an eagle and the inscription "PONTS ET CHAUSSÉES." Interior cap composed of a ochre calfskin band with ivory silk cap marked in black with the hatter's name: "MAISON AMBROIS / LACGER & Cie / Suppliers to the Imperial Corps of Staff / 22, R DE LA CHée d'Antin / Paris." Height of the bicorne at the front 12 cm, at the back 16.5 cm, length 47 cm, width 16 cm.

In fairly good condition, some rubbing on the felt, oxidation on the cockade, dirty interior cap but no accidents.

FULL DRESS UNIFORM of a regular engineer of the Ponts et Chaussées, according to the regulations of 1852, in national blue cloth, straight cut on the front and adorned with nine gilt buttons featuring a relief eagle without a crown, with the inscription "PONTS ET CHAUSSÉES", lower part with intertwined laurel branches. Collar and cuffs in crimson cloth embroidered with threads, cannetilles, and silver-gilt sequins depicting intertwined laurel branches surmounted by a scalloped rod wrapped in a ribbon. Straight horizontal cuffs with two small module uniform buttons. Cuff height 7 cm, collar height 5.5 cm. Waist knot embroidered with laurel branches with two large module uniform buttons, bottom of the coat adorned with a large module uniform button. Lining in black cloth and silk, ivory silk for the sleeves, black velvet for the collar.

Good condition, buttons and embroideries retaining their gilding, some moth nibbles on one shoulder, on the back, the left shoulder seam is unstitched for 4 cm without tearing, the left rear seam has been repaired at the back.

TROUSERS in national blue cloth with a fly closing with five black lacquered metal buttons, and side bands in golden galloon woven with olive branches of 4 cm width. At the back, brass tightening buckle. Trousers lined in ivory silk in the upper part. Total height approximately 108 cm, waist circumference approximately 80 cm.

Good condition, some wear.
