Gilt copper hilt. Guard with one branch forming an openwork shell of laurel branches and a central medallion with the coat of arms of Venezuela (adopted in 1905). Counter-guard forming an openwork military trophy and oak branch. Pommel with acanthus leaf decoration. Poll cap with a long registered tail "92" decorated with acanthus leaves. Ferrule with leafy branch. Grip in wood covered with white shagreen and copper filigree. Slightly curved nickel-plated blade, 82 cm long, flat with grooves.

Cipriano Castro, born on October 12, 1858 in Capacho, Táchira State, and died on December 4, 1924 in exile in Porto Rico, was a Venezuelan military leader and statesman, president of Venezuela between 1899 and 1908.
