WAISTCOAT FROM A DRESS OR UNIFORM, First Empire. 32935
Made of white canvas, entirely edged with a garland of fruit-laden foliage and on the outer edge with a cord of silver thread, with a scatter of silver dots on the front of the waistcoat. It closes straight at the front with five buttonholes at the lower part. The 12 cm collar is likewise embroidered to match the waistcoat. Horizontal side pockets, also embroidered to match the waistcoat. The back of the waistcoat is made of white canvas with a tightening lace at the lower back. Lined with white canvas.

In fairly good condition, with signs of wear and stains on the front, some missing buttons.
NOTE:
This waistcoat is most likely civilian, but its silver embroidered decoration would allow it to be presented with a set dedicated to commissaries of war or military administration.
