COURT SWORD IN GILT SILVER, Reign of Louis XVI, Old Monarchy, circa 1780-1785. 32783
Gilt silver hilt. Guard branch pierced with military trophies decoration. Downward curving quillon pierced with floral motif. Rings. Pierced knucklebow with vegetal motif medallion. Shell guard with medallions of military trophies surrounded by laurel branches and pierced background of scattered flowers. Round pommel with medallions decorated with military trophies, borders with pierced floral and foliage decorations. Wooden handle entirely silver filigree. Silver ferrules imitating a braid of threads. Triangular white blade with military and vegetal decorations, length 67.7 cm; engraved with the Passau wolf.

Good condition, hilt in very good condition with gilding worn off, blade oxidized, without scabbard.
