Gilt bronze hilt. Guard branch adorned with floral motifs and fleur-de-lis filed down in 1815. Ram's head-shaped quillon. Shield-shaped hilt with a hunting horn at the center bearing the number "5", topped with the royal crown and resting on an oak and laurel branch. Pommel with a short tail. Ebony handle finely checkered. Ferrule stamped with flowers. Scarlet cloth knot. Triangular white blade measuring 81 cm long, engraved with military trophies and floral motifs.

Good condition, hilt in very good condition, blade oxidized, missing scabbard.
NOTE:
The 5th Light Infantry Regiment was renamed Régiment Léger d'Angoulême on May 12, 1814, and reverted to its original name on April 20, 1815 during the Hundred Days.
