OFFICER'S BRIDLE OF LIGHT CAVALRY, Restoration period. 33707
Completely made of black varnished leather with gilded brass buckles. All leather parts are covered with a chain of gilded brass links.
Headstall composed of a browband, a leather frontal piece. Crownpiece decorated with a chain of gilded brass links and connected to the headstall on each side with a round brass ornament adorned with flutings and flowers. Throatlatch in "pendant" style decorated with links and bearing a crescent with a face in gilded copper. Noseband adorned with a link. Frontal piece and noseband connected by a headstall consisting of two leather uprights decorated with crossed links, at the junction a leather oval-shaped disc with scalloped edges receives a fleur-de-lys stamped in gilded copper.
Bridle bit with short shanks and a chain of gilded links at the top. Entirely made of filed wrought iron.

In fairly good condition, with some accidents and wear, missing reins, missing a chain of links on one of the throatlatch pendants.
