Gilt bronze hilt. Three-branch guard with the two secondary branches engraved with laurel leaves. Pommel stamped "E. BARRE / A PARIS." Cap with a short decorated tail featuring two laurel branches and a flower. Handle made of filigreed black horn with silver-plated copper. Natural buffalo leather knot. Curved blade with hollow edges, 79.8 cm long, signed on the back "Coulaux Frères à Klingenthal", a marking used between 1823 and 1831. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings.

Restoration period.
Saber in good condition retaining some of its gilding with slight oxidation on the blade. Scabbard in poor condition, rusty, matching the model but not the saber, revealing the heel of the blade.
