Gilt bronze hilt. Guard with two branches forming a pierced shell with a naval anchor and foliage. Dolphin-head quillon. Cap with long tail decorated with floral motifs and scallop shells. Black horn handle. Brass ferrule. Scarlet cloth tie. Slightly curved grooved blade, length 69.5 cm, signed on the back "Coulaux et Cie Klingenthal". Wooden scabbard covered in black waxed calf leather with three gilt brass fittings. Chape and central fitting stamped with scallop shells, branches, and naval anchors. Tip of the scabbard stamped with scrolls, flowers, and acanthus leaves, finished with a brass tip shaped like a lyre.
