Gilt bronze hilt. Guard with two branches forming a pierced shell with a marine anchor and foliage. Quillon in the shape of a dolphin's head. Pommel with long tail decorated with floral motifs and scallop shells. Black horn handle. Brass ferrule. Slightly curved blade with gutters, length 70.4 cm, signed on the back "Coulaux et Cie Klingenthal". Black varnished leather scabbard with three gilt brass fittings. Chape and central fitting engraved with a vegetal design. Chape with a belt loop button shaped like a scallop shell, decorated with a gilt brass marine anchor. Tip of the scabbard finished with a brass blade shaped like a lyre.

Good condition, oxidation on the blade from use, chipping and minor accidents on the scabbard with fold marks, leather at the end of the scabbard cut but complete.
