SABRETACHE TROOP OF THE REGIMENT DES GUIDES DE LA GARDE IMPÉRIALE, model 1854, Second Empire. 33818
Black waxed leather sabretache. Back of the flap hot stamped with "1867" and hot stamped with "783". Inner pocket lined with brown canvas (H 25.8 cm, 17.7 cm wide at the top and 22.7 cm at the bottom). Flap covered with dark green cloth with an aurore-dyed buffalo leather piping sewn along the outer edge. Aurore woolen edging braid, 3 cm wide. Brass relief-stamped and cut-out plate with the Grandes Armes Impériales fixed in the center with a lace (H 167.2 cm, width 13 cm). Rounded rectangular suspension rings made of brass.
Height of the sabretache 30 cm, width at the top 20 cm, width at the bottom 27.5 cm.
