INFANTRY GRENADIERS' CARTRIDGE BOX, First Empire. 33706-1
Baldric made of whitened buffalo leather, 6 cm wide, total length (excluding the fixing straps) 137 cm, with a 2.5 cm wide and 11 cm long strap at each lower end. Bayonet holder sewn at the bottom consisting of a whitened buffalo leather pocket (H 17 cm x 6 cm), and a tab that attaches to the baldric using a whitened buffalo leather button (2.5 cm high x 10 cm long).
Cartridge box made of black varnished leather case (H 13 cm x 21 cm x 8 cm), complete with two brass buckles underneath to attach the baldric, and a third one to attach the tab. At the back of the case, a black varnished leather strip, 4.5 cm high, is sewn for the baldric to pass through. Strap made of whitened calf leather, 11.5 cm long, max. height 3 cm, attached at the back of the case on the left side, intended to button to the uniform.
Tab made of black varnished leather (H 18 cm x 25.5 cm) with a brass cast flaming bomb in the center, 8 cm high x 5 cm wide, fixed with rear tabs crossed by a steel wire.
