Made of embossed brass, the plate measures 15.7 cm in height and 21.5 cm in width with the curve. It has a semi-oval shape and features the Arms of France framed by two palm leaves resting on a bundle of flags and spears against a background of a radiant sun with Jupiter's lightning bolts. The plate has ten holes along its outer edges for attachment, along with three brass tabs soldered at the back. The lower edge is folded inward onto itself.
