Certificate of Military Service & Civic Duty issued to Jean Jacque RONJON, former war commissioner, captain adjutant major, born in Metz. He has served honorably and continuously since October 6, 1777; he participated in naval campaigns in 1780 and 1781. Embarked on the ship La Bourgogne; and land campaigns in Germany in 1792 and 1793. He was present at the Siege of Mainz and the campaign in the Vendée. He was appointed war commissioner on the 20th of Brumaire. Employed in Le Mans.

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND:
The 32nd Infantry Regiment (32nd RI) is an infantry regiment of the French Army created during the Revolution from the Bassigny Regiment, a French regiment from the Ancien Régime. It was active until after the Second World War and was definitively disbanded in 1985.
