BIOGRAPHY:
Louis-Auguste de Bourbon, born on March 31, 1670, at the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye and died on May 14, 1736, at the Château de Sceaux, was the Duke of Maine, Duke of Aumale, and Count of Eu. He was the legitimatized son of King Louis XIV and Madame de Montespan. As the sovereign prince of Dombes, he ruled over this principality from 1693 until his death, under the name Louis-Auguste I.
