Iron hilt. Guard with two branches forming a shell in the shape of a medallion cut with the monogram "JMG" topped with a marquis crown.
Wooden handle wrapped in leather with a wide iron filigree. Pommel with a short tail and scalloped edge. Hollow-ground straight blade, slightly curved, engraved on one side "C.M.J.GODIN", length 64.5 cm.

Good condition, engraving on the blade is old but later, probably done by the family, without scabbard.
