Gilded bronze hilt. Guard with a single branch forming a decorated oval medallion with the coat of arms of Mexico. Cap with a long tail in the shape of a head of a crested caracara (emblematic bird of Mexico). Folding counterguard. Handle in wood covered with black ray skin filigreed in copper. Ferrule engraved with branch of foliage. Slightly curved nickel-plated blade with grooves, length 72.9 cm, acid-etched on both sides: "ARMADA / MEXICANA" framed by military sailboats and marine weapons trophies on one side, and the coat of arms of Mexico with a sailboat and vegetal decorative on the other side. It is signed at the heel with the manufacturer's logo "COBE". Black varnished leather scabbard with three gilded brass fittings engraved with geometric decorations. Chape with ring and belt loop in brass, engraved with a marine anchor. Central fitting engraved with the initials "R M". Gilded bronze rings and loops. The tip of the scabbard is finished with a dart cut in the shape of a lyre.
