GUARD OF HONOR DOLMAN AND PELISSE, 1813 model, First Empire. 33647/33648
DOLMAN.
Made of dark green wool with scarlet collar and cuffs, white braids and galloons. Fastens straight in the front with eighteen white braids adorned with five rows of half-bell brass buttons. Collar is 9.5 cm high framed with a 1.3 cm wide white woven galloon. Dolman is edged with the same white galloon as the collar all around and covers the back seams as well as the false side pockets. Cuffs are pointed and bordered with the same white galloon, closing in the back with four black lacquered metal hooks and eyes. Interior lining is in ecru canvas.
Sleeve length 63 cm. Shoulder width at armpits approximately 38 cm. Length from collar base to bottom back 39 cm.
PELISSE.
Made of dark green wool, with eighteen white braids in the front each adorned with five half-bell brass buttons, fastening straight in the front. Pelisse is bordered all around with a 9 mm wide white woven galloon and a black sheepskin on approximately 6 cm wide. The same galloon also covers the two back seams at the back and shoulders. At the bottom back, eight half-bell buttons are sewn in a triangle. Collar covered in black sheepskin, height 10 cm, with a double white cord at the front base for closure. Pointed cuffs are covered in black sheepskin. Interior lining is in ecru canvas, sleeves are not lined.

Handcrafted production from the end of the First Empire.
Good condition, with some repairs, accidents, and restorations. Pelisse restored by master tailor Christian Colmont in the 1980s, with replacement of fur and interior lining.
NOTE:
During the creation of the four Regiments of Guard of Honor, archives and period testimonies mention that many guards had their uniforms and equipment made locally in the provinces. These productions led to a wide variety of fabrics, colors, and materials; the quality obtained varied, sometimes mediocre. The result in the regiments was great disparity.
