Black varnished leather flap, lower part cut in an accolade shape with a flexible leather braid folded over and sewn onto the outer border. Height 28 cm, width at the top 16.5 cm, width at the bottom 23 cm.
In the center, a relief-stamped and cut brass plate is attached, shaped like a crowned imperial eagle with spread wings holding Jupiter's flashing thunderbolt in its talons. Height 17 cm, width 13 cm. The plate is fixed using six brass pins passing through the flap and secured with a leather lace.
Interior pocket in black varnished leather, lined with scarlet cloth.
Black varnished leather straps attached to rings for suspension.

Good condition, some wear and rubbing on the varnish, missing the plate fixing lace, crown of the plate cut and replaced by a movable crown, all period.
