SWORD BELT OF A DIVISION GENERAL OF THE ITALIAN KINGDOM CAVALRY, First Empire. 33706-2
Made of calf leather, entirely covered with scarlet velvet embroidered with a branch of oak leaves in silver threads and cannetilles, bordered on each edge with a silver embroidered strip, belt width 3.9 cm. Silver buckle closing at the front with two lion heads, dimensions 3.8 cm x 3.1 cm each, each lion head is decorated on the outer part with a ring for the belt passage and on the inner part with a ring receiving an S-shaped hook with a double-headed serpent ensuring the closure. The sword hanger, similarly decorated to the belt, is sewn to the belt. H of the sword hanger 18 cm x 22 cm.
