DRAGOON SABER, model 1768-1781, Former Monarchy. 33692
Demi-basket hilt with three branches of flat iron, the guard branch screwed to the pommel (made in two pieces: one piece forming the two guard branches and the second forming the oblique branch). Handle of wood covered in black waxed calf leather with iron filigree. Short-tailed pommel. Straight and flat blade, 96.7 cm long, with the crowned "K" stamp on the front side from the Klingenthal manufacture starting in 1783, and the "R" under the crown stamp from the manufacture starting in 1776. Black varnished leather scabbard with two steel fittings with scalloped edges, steel ring and belt rings; brass end cap and steel throat piece.
