Gilt brass hilt. Guard with one smooth branch. Hinged clamshell decorated with an uncrowned imperial eagle in gilt brass riveted on. Folding counter-guard, signed MANCEAUX. Round pommel. Ferrules decorated with lines. Grip with gilt brass wire filigree. Scabbard throat. Scarlet cloth knot. Blade with central ridge and fullers, length 81 cm. Black varnished leather scabbard with two brass fittings, throat with button for wearing on the belt, scabbard tip with brass shoe.
