Gilt brass hilt. Guard with one branch decorated with Jupiter's thunderbolt and flowers. Double-shell guard decorated with a gilt brass emblem depicting the engineer's helmet, pot on head, and engineer's breastplate placed on a bundle of flags, in gilt brass, applied and riveted. Folding counter-guard. Pyramidal pommel decorated with a sparkling thunderbolt. Ferrule. Handle in filigreed horn with silvered copper wire. Natural buffalo leather knot. Central-edged blade, 83 cm long. Polished steel scabbard with a belt loop and a dart cut into a lyre shape.
