Bronze hilt. Four-branched guard, marked "675". Cap with a short tail. Wooden grip covered in black waxed calfskin filigreed with brass. Natural leather knot. Straight blade with Montmorency style with a heel and gutters, length 100 cm, back engraved "Mre Impale de Châtt March 1857 caraber mle 1854". Scabbard with two suspension rings, blade tip cut in the shape of a lyre.
