Octagonal steel barrel of 4 inches (9.5 cm) engraved on top with "MAUHATTAN ARMS CO. LEWARK 11.J". Five-shot cylinder engraved with scenes from the Wild West, a boat, etc., marked "DEC 27. 1859" (patent date). Brass trigger guard. All parts marked with the same number "23683". Smooth walnut grip panels.
