NOTE:
This weapon is inspired by the Colt Pocket model 1849 revolver. Manufactured in Newark, New Jersey.
The Manhattan Fire Arms Manufacturing Co. was founded in 1856 to take advantage of the expiration of Colt's patent on cylinder firearms in 1857.
In 1859, the company relocated from Connecticut to New Jersey.
They also produced copies of other American firearms that had entered the public domain.
In 1868, Manhattan changed its name to the American Standard Tool Company and began to market industrial tools in addition to firearms.
The American Standard Tool closed its doors during the financial crisis of 1873.
