Fully nickel-plated metal construction, with the exception of the trigger and brushed steel hammer, and the blued steel trigger guard. The 8.4 cm long round barrel is equipped with a five-shot cylinder. The top of the barrel is engraved with "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D GAN. 24.65 / JULY 11.65. AUG. 24.69. REISSUE JULY 25.71. MAY 11.80. JAN. 82". The finely checkered "gutta percha" grip panels feature intertwined "S W" initials. The butt is numbered "151077."
Overall length of the revolver is 19 cm.
Includes the original cardboard box with an orange paper label on one side printed in black "SMITH & WESSON / 38 ACTION." Inside, the lid is lined with the instruction sheet.
